PMS vs PMDD We’re Not Imagining It

Here’s a little PSA for the people in the back:

PMS is annoying.
PMDD is life-altering.

If you’ve never sobbed in your car over nothing, wanted to disappear the week before your period, or felt your body turn into a rage tornado because your hormones went nuclear — congratulations.

Women with PMDD aren’t being "dramatic."

They’re not "overreacting."

They’re fighting their own brain chemistry every single month while still holding down jobs, families, and the unrealistic expectations that society stacks on their backs.

And the medical system?
Half the time it either shrugs or throws an antidepressant at it without even bothering to ask real questions.

So F this Friday:
F the doctors who dismiss us.
F the workplace cultures that expect us to smile through breakdowns.
F the friends or partners who tell us "everyone gets moody."

We’re not moody. We’re fighting a hormonal war you don’t even see.

You don’t get to gaslight women out of their reality anymore.

PMS and PMDD are not the same.
And the sooner we start acting like they aren’t, the sooner more women can actually get the damn support they deserve.
